Pier 7

7 different restaurants and cuisines for you to sample in one building – Pier 7 –

About 2 years ago Pier 7 on the Marina opened its doors and we could not have been happier. The concept is simple but effective, 7 floors each with a uniquely themed restaurant. Just hop in the elevator and see which ones calls to you. They range from casual to fine dining, some have happy hours or ladies nights and each one has a balcony with stunning views over the Marina, perfect for a sunny afternoon or romantic sunset; there is something for everyone!

So here is Keep Dining’s review of Pier 7’s fabulous dining options!

Pier 7

First floor is Fumé

Fumé is the more casual of the restaurants in Pier 7, operating on a first come first served basis. The food is a fusion, inspired by the tastes of Europe and Asia, creating an eclectic and vibrant experience. The drinks are fun and flavoursome, the interior is funky yet homely and everything is designed to make sure that you have a fun a relaxed meal with friends and family.

They also have a number of events, including a Tuesday ladies night and a very affordable business lunch, perfect for those of you working around the Marina! So head on over and treat yourself.

Pier 7

Second floor is O Cacti

Mexican food is not one of the more common cuisines found in Dubai, so if you have a bit of a craving for burritos, tacos and Margaritas then head over to O Cacti.  Their menu is classic Mexican with a modern twist, offering delicious favourites such as spicy enchiladas and fajitas, but for something a little different you should try the calamari arriero, cooked to perfection in butter and garlic!

They have a host of events including their Latin dancing extravaganza on Thursdays and Fridays and their very generous happy hour from Saturdays to Wednesdays, where you should take advantage of their 50% discount on drinks; I really do recommend the cocktails!

Pier 7

Third floor is Cargo

Cargo is a great place to head for a fun time with friends. It always has a lively atmosphere and welcoming staff. The menu is fun and inventive with a mixture of classic Asian dishes and some street food options, for that chilled out dining vibe. They have a great bar menu and come night time the place is always busy and you are sure to run into people you know. If you are looking to have a more relaxed evening then get a table on the balcony, but be sure to book before hand as it does fill up fast!

They have a number of great events on every week. From their daily happy hour from 5-8pm where drinks are only 25AED, and their Throwback Wednesday where you can dance the night away to old school tunes and then enjoy a later happy hour from 12-2am!

Pier 7

Fourth floor is The Scene

The Scene has fast become a Dubai favourite, apart from the food and drinks there is something homely and comforting about the décor in this restaurant. Quirky mismatched chairs, floral pattern sofas and a wall adorned with old copies on The Beano and Desperate Dan, gives it a distinctive and comforting look. It is a bar where you can arrive for lunch and quite easily settle in for the whole afternoon. Celebrity British Chef Simon Rimmer has created a retro English menu with a number of old favourites, including a roast dinner and a seriously good plate of fish & chips!

The Scene’s ladies night is a must visit, with 3 cocktails and a tasting platter of retro volovants it is a great location to spend the evening chatting with your girlfriends. You must also head over for their classic roast dinner on a Saturday and Sunday, a plate filled with memories of home and real gravy!

Pier 7

Fifth floor is Abd el Wahab

Abd el Wahab has created a Lebanese fine dining experience, with a long history this restaurant has finally come to the Dubai Marina. With a menu full of classic Lebanese cuisine, including hummus, taouk and a mix grill, the real specialty of the house is their fish menu.  With a daily changing fresh fish selection you really never know what to expect, their expertly created dishes focus on the natural flavour of the ingredients with a twist from the streets of Beirut. Spend the afternoon and evening working your way through small sharing dishes and then treat yourself to a plate of sea bass with a walnut crust or lobster. What other way to enjoy delicious food than with a view over the Dubai Marina as the sun goes down.

Pier 7

Sixth floor is Asia Asia

If you are looking to dress to impress then Asia Asia is the place for you. From the moment you arrive you know you are going to be in for a treat, a dark corridor lined with golden statues leads you to a decadent Asian inspired dining room, low lighting and bamboo encased seating areas give this restaurant a unique and welcoming feel. You can either choose to dine inside or book a table on their balcony, either way you can be sure of excellent food and a classy evening out. Their menu is eclectic Asian cuisine with a modern twist, their duck & dragon maki rolls are particularly tasty and the dim sum selection is well worth a try.

If you are looking to sample a few dishes and drinks on a bit of a budget then try out their Tuesday ladies night, with 3 free drinks and a special ladies menu it is a great way to spend the evening with your friends. The Asia Asia brunch is also not one to miss, 395AED per person including drinks; you can dine in style with plate after plate of delicious food!

Pier 7

Seventh floor is Atelier M

At the top of Pier 7 is Atelier M, a sumptuously designed interior makes this restaurant a must go for a stylish night out. Make sure to find the ‘secret’ elevator that will take you up to their fabulous terrace for stunning views over the whole of the Marina. The cuisine is classic French with a modern twist. The dishes a beautifully designed to stir all the senses, with options such as black truffle salad and roasted lamb shank with saffron risotto you know you are in for a real treat. The atmosphere is cool and sophisticated, you can easily saunter around the bar with a glass in hand, listening to the DJ and lounging on their velvet sofas, perfect for a weekend (or weekday) night out.

For the weekend Atelier M hosts a number of DJs for music events, including the hip hop evening on Thursdays and contemporary on Fridays. Ladies can also enjoy their regular Tuesday night out with 3 glasses of complementary wine. So pop on up to the 7th floor for a memorable evening out.
