Where are we celebrating International Coffee day in the UAE?Taking brewing to the next level
This specialty boutique roaster is a well-known hotspot on the fair-trade organic coffee scene here in the UAE. Importing their beans from all over the world and then roasting them here in Dubai, RAW is for people who are serious about their coffee quality and its backstory. Now, if that is you, then you need to pay a visit to their brew bar. Hang out there and spend time sampling their different roasts and chatting to their friendly baristas. If you into it and want to take it a step further you can. They provide home-training barista courses and sell top of the line equipment including the Rocket Giotto.
To celebrate this International Coffee Day 2016, their coffee truck – Bruce – could be coming to your home or office for a couple of hours to supply free coffee. All you have to do is a submit a poem or picture telling them why RAW is the best. Check out their Facebook page for details!
At the Kempinski’s Emirates Palace, all you need is an hour. Spend it wisely and indulge in an aromatic Palace Cappuccino. As much striking as intriguing; this beverage allows you a brief glimpse into the life of kings and queens. The gorgeous presentation includes a generous sprinkling of actual 24-carat gold flakes on top of the dense cappuccino foam. Alongside which are served dates and dark chocolate. This is one of those experiences to linger over and enjoy every sip; watching the elegantly dressed people of the world go by.
1 + 1 = off-the-charts amazing
The Sum of Us is a café/ bakery/ roastery based downtown in the Burj al Salam near the World Trade Center roundabout. Taking great pride in what they do, their coffee beans are imported from exotic locales around the globe and then lovingly toasted using equipment hand-crafted in Greece. We are in love with their Instagram account which serves up daily yummy goodness for our eyes. Today, they are offering a special pastry, a Coffee Brulee Donut, as well as a Coffee Brownie Milkshake as their tribute to Coffee International Day. So get along there and try them out. If you do, remember to pop a picture on Instagram and include the hashtags: #dineinthecity and #thesumofus!
